We loved the food and the vibe! We ordered a beer, cocktail and food. Drinks were reasonably priced and did not disappoint. Their smoked wings with their in house sauce and their bison burger were delicious. Service was fast and friendly, Ryan was lovely! Definitely 5 stars!!

I typically live by reviews and when a place doesn t have 4.5 stars or more I m skeptical. My daughter thought it looked cool and had a funny name so we took a chance on this place after a trip to Candyland and mini-golf down the road. So glad we did! We loved everything about the Chute Rooster. The casual western ambience, the friendly staff /and of course the delicious food! My 8yo and I split a bowl of Cowboy (red) Chili and we both loved it. Not too spicy but a little kick and great flavor. I had the French Dip and fries which were great and my daughter had the mini corn dogs with apple sauce which she devoured it! I wish we didn t live 6hrs away will definitely return if we re ever in town again. I encourage people to try it out and leave good reviews to help bump them up on the list of places to eat in and around Hill City! I almost missed this diamond in the rough. Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu and very accommodating. The bartender made my daughter a fruity mocktail with pineapple juice because she wasn t in the mood for lemonade again. They also offered a sample of chili and made her a tiny shot of it complete with a few shred of cheese and scallions on top! So great.

Weve been talking about eating here for quite sometime and finally did, for my birthday. The prime rib is outstanding! Would highly recommend Chute Rooster & Sara or waitress was the best. Do not pass up the turtle cheesecake with candied bacon- it is OMG goodness overload.

If you want amazing food/drinks or friendly fun customer service I d recommend eating here. Susan was our waitress and she was friendly and made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door. Even though they were short handed they did amazing and the food/drinks were perfect. If you are a cocktail drinker I d recommend the Key West Blast, in my opinion it tastes like being in Hawaii or having an adult tropical punch. Plus they brand all the burger and sandwich buns so you have a nice presentation when the food comes. I will stop back in when I am in the area for their amazing smothered green chili burger.

We were greeted by one of the owners upon arrival and sat down to some wonderful service at the bar with another one of the owners. They both had good food and drink recommendations. I was looking for a souvenir shirt and I am a rather larger individual and they didn t have any of my size on the rack. One of the owners took me to find a shirt that would fit me in their overstock room, not many places would offer to do that especially the owner. This place was definitely a highlight of our trip through the Black Hills. My wife and I would highly recommend the food and service.

Started with an appetizer, Sweet Prairie Fire wings and they did not disappoint! The Green Chili Philly Cheese Steak was very good and the fries are better than your average! Bison burger was not exceptional. Ohh the lager was smooth! The entertainment was some of the best I ve seen for a while. The 2 band bros played bass and acoustical guitar and rocked a bluesy rock mix!!
